Capriccio With Fallen Pillar
Inspired by both the capriccio paintings of the 18th Century, and the socio-political upheavals of the last few years, this painting is a portrait of the crumbling foundations our world is built upon. It’s collapse perhaps not at all a bad thing, but a chance to culturally reshape our relationship with (among many other things) poverty, male chauvinism, xenophobia, and climate change. Sooner or later, the financial empire of billionaires will collapse. What will we rebuild from its ruins?
